Operations and Flight Safety Section

Organisational Structure

The Operations Section has a total of eight local personnel which comprised of five Operations Officer, one Operations Assistant and two clerks. In addition to that, this section also supported by two contracted staff from United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority, performing and advising matters concerning Airworthiness and Flight Operations.

The section is subdivided into 3 units namely:

  • Flight Operations
  • Airworthiness
  • Aerodrome Ground Aids


Responsibilities

The Operations Section of the Department of Civil Aviation is responsible for ensuring that the National laws and Regulations, and the International Standards and Procedures Appurtenant to Flight Operations, Airworthiness, Flight Crew Licensing and Aerodromes Operations are strictly adhered to by all concerned.

To achieve this, a programme of route checks, out-station inspections and companies audit was carried out during the year. This sections also carried out routine inspections and constantly monitoring the on going projects at Brunei International Airport.
